A Tea Moment and a Giveaway

Posted By Jacque Dixon on August 4, 2009 in Categories: Arts for the Home, Keeping the Home, Quiet Moments

My friend, Dana, is having A tea moment…and GIVEAWAY on her blog, A Very Nearly Tea.

We love Tea Moments here at the Dixon Home. We especially have them in the cooler months, but anytime of the year is a good time for some favourite tea.

Right now, I am drinking mainly Red Raspberry Tea for pregnancy health, but some of my faves include: Peppermint Tea, Chamomile Tea, Orange Spice Tea. Well, I guess there are really not too many teas I don’t care for.

I started collecting tea mugs and cups when I was in high school, and though I really don’t much anymore, I do have a nice decorative tea server set Amanda gave me last year. It matches the grapes theme in the parlour of our home, and they love to serve with it, especially Rachel.

We also have a miniature tea set we got at a shoppe in New Mexico.

And this is the tea cup my Swap Sister, Sprittibee, gave me.

We enjoy tea just about anytime. In the warmer months, if we drink hot tea, it is usually in the evening, after we get the Little boys to sleep. I don’t even have to ask for it, my younger girls love serving it so much. During the day, we steep it and serve it over ice, unsweetened or with a bit of honey and lemon or lime. During the cooler months, we drink tea hot about anytime. I like mine with honey and sometimes lemon, depending on the flavour of the tea.

We have been blessed by Page, who is lives in England, as she has sent us organic and  loose tea several times. She is our UK connection! :)

After the past two months of construction work on our home, putting up 800ft of fencing, helping care for two goat births, managing 4 ill goats, and losing our sweet family dog Blondie and a Momma goat, I am ready for some peaceful, sweet Tea Moments. How about you?

Go on over to Dana’s and enter her contest. She will be drawing the winner on August 11th, a week from today. Also, be sure to check out the Tea Glass she is giving away and tea by Libre.

Happy Tea Moments to you!
